Prohibited Activity Policy

EmailCollect is built to serve a free subscription-base for the short-term rental (STR) market. If your company’s primary offering is any other service or the promotion of physical goods, EmailCollect is not a good fit for your needs.

EmailCollect Members (service users) may ONLY use EmailCollect services for their STR business activity and EmailCollect will withhold or revoke at its discretion where it finds an increased risk to our business and/or reputation.

A series of laws are in place that regulate practices around Personal Information use, management, and availability. When considering your activity when using the Personal Information of your subscribers, EMAILCOLLECT MEMEBERS MUST ADHERE TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY and not participate in forbidden activity.

By creating a Member account with EmailCollect, you are confirming that you will ONLY be using EmailCollect services to engage specifically in your STR services and you will NOT be using EmailCollect services to engage in any unlawful activity.

Forbidden Activity

The list below stipulates a series of forbidden business activity. Overall restrictions on the use of EmailCollect include any business offering that:

  • Violates any law or government regulation;
  • Involves the conduct of fraudulent, deceptive, unfair, or predatory practices;
  • Engages in, encourages, promotes, or celebrates violence or physical harm to persons or property, or toward any group based on race, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, or any other immutable characteristic;
  • Contravenes the requirements for the provision of consent under the Australian Privacy Principles, a copy of which may be obtained from the website of The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, and the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Some of the above may not be obvious or evident at the time of creating your membership with EmailCollect, but EmailCollect reserves the right to exercise judgment in ascertaining whether any of these factors are likely to be present in your business activity.

The above is not an exhaustive list. Laws and the STR landscape are continuously changing and presenting new considerations that we must evaluate.
